(1804), silver, 53mm, obverse, Volunteer rifleman standing firing right, undulating ground behind, six tents in the right middle distance, a thistle and rose in the foreground, legend above ‘Best shot at ball practice’; reverse, crowned garter with usual motto, engraved around ‘Prize Medal - Third Best Shot’, and within the garter ‘Shot for by the HC & SV Rifle Company’, rim pierced at top for suspension but this lacking, very fine
