silver medal, hallmarked Birmingham 1912, by W J & D, 38mm, to the left three crossed service rifles, to the right a shield engraved 'B.C.J.S.' and '1912' below, a shooting target above, a branch of laurel leaves from 5 o'clock round to 10 o'clock anti-clockwise, with wreath of thistles, shamrocks and roses at the base; reverse a wreath of laurel leaves, with centre engraved 'BEST 10 TARGETS P. G. C. Lane.' light contact marks, very fine
