Royal Air Force L.S. & G.C., G.VI.R. (507313 F/Sgt. T. Grieve. R.A.F.), light contact marks, toned very fine
Thomas Grieve was born at Londonderry, Northern Ireland, on 6 September 1898. He served with the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers (19532) from 22 January 1915 - 26 April 1919. Grieve later served on the Army Reserve between 1 June 1923 - 31 May 1927 and enlisted into the Royal Air Force on 30 September 1927 serving as an Aircrafthand. He served at R.A.F. Cranwell between 8 February 1928 - 25 August 1928 when he joined No.502 Squadron. This squadron was a Special Reserve squadron based at R.A.F. Aldegrove, Northern Ireland in the heavy night bomber role flying Handley Page Hyderabads.
He is further entitled to a British War and Victory Medal Pair.
