A Great War Salonika A.R.R.C. Pair to Sister M. Coupar, Territorial Force Nursing Service, who was additionally 'mentioned' for her services in Salonika

Mary Coupar enrolled into the Territorial Force Nursing Service on 12 March 1909 and was mobilised for Great War service on 12 August 1914. She entered the war in Salonika on 1 July 1916 and served at 38 General Hospital in Salonika - she was awarded both her A.R.R.C. and M.I.D. for her service there. She remained in that theatre of war until returning home on 12 December 1918.

Coupar was then sent to the Yorkhill War Hospital in Glasgow serving from 16 January 1919 until she was demobilised on 31 May 1919. She was presented her A.R.R.C. at Buckingham Palace on 4 December 1919 and resigned from the Territorial Army Nursing Service on 24 December 1931. She is additionally entitled to a British War and Victory Medal pair with M.I.D. oak leaves.
