Herbet Harry Annand was born on 25 March 1889 at Willesden Green and served in France as a 2nd Lieutenant from 16 September 1917.

With the outbreak of the Second World War, he was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant from the Territorials in May 1940 into the Royal Tank Regiment. He saw active service and was discharged from the Royal Army Pay Corps in August 1945. He was issued with the Africa Star & War Medal 1939-45 in June 1948. Annand died at Hillingdon in December 1974.
