Ralph Harry Norden was born on 10 December 1912 at London, the son of Harry William Norden who died of wounds in the Great War serving in the Lincolnshire Regiment. Enlisting in the Royal Air Force he served initially in India and later in the Malayan Emergency being twice 'mentioned' during his service in 1946 and 1956. Ralph died at Hastings in January 1980.
