J. E. Webber is confimed as having served in 'B' Division of the South African Constabulary during the Boer War, his Medal noted as having officially been lost in February 1911. He took a T.F.E.M. as per Army Order 101 of April 1914 and landed on Gallipoli with the 1/1st West Kent Yeomanry on 24 September 1915. Attached to the 42nd (East Lancashire) Division, they were withdrawn to Mudros on 30 December.
