Michael John Pyne was born at Cloyne, Middleton, Cork on 10 April 1869 and joined the Royal Navy on 1 October 1884. During the Great War, he was shore based apart from a short spell aboard H.M.S. Eagle from 1 to 28 December 1916, before being shore pensioned on 18 February 1919; sold together with copied research.
