Note only 54 men of No. 2 Mountain Battery listed as serving with the Temu Column on the N.E. Frontier, while 62 are listed serving with the Cachar Column.

Samuel Magill saw service with the Temu Column on the North West Frontier and is further entitled to the Queen's South Africa Medal with a note on the role stating that he joined No. 1 New Zealand Battery, 1 pounder maxims; sold together with a copied medal roll.
