1919-1921 Photograph album of the visit of the flagship of the 2nd Light Cruiser Squadron to the South American Station. The fully annotated album has photographs of Uruguay, including Fray Bentos, polo playing, stops at Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Peru, Chile and the Falkland Islands, with images of penguins, and the South Georgia whaling station. Various maps, charts and a booklet on the Antofagasta (Chili) & Bolivia Railway Co. Ltd are inserted. A printed shooting "Bag of H.M.S. Southampton" is laid down on the endpaper. An important and superb quality album (350 plus images, album 40x30cm)
