Dr H.H. Crippen (1862-1910)
1910 Typed letter signed by the infamous Dr Crippen, hanged at Pentonville Prison for the murder of his second wife. He was the first criminal to be arrested with the aid of wireless telegraphy.
Crippen writes on headed notepaper of "The Aural Remedies Coy, Craven House, Kingsway, London" listing his ophthalmic qualification. He was a medicine dispenser and homeopath.
"When your present supply of remedies is exhausted if you will kindly send me 6/8d I will at once send you a further three weeks supply of the remedies..."The letter is dated 1st February. Cora Crippen, his wife, disappeared on the evening of 31st January following a party
