Prince Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh (1844-1900)
1872, 1874 Covers addressed and initialled "A" by the second son of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, posted from London and Portsmouth, with an autograph letter initialled, written on Clarence House notepaper regarding a violin performance, the Duke was a keen violinist. He married the daughter of Tsar Alexander II of Russia and became Duke of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha in 1893 (3)
