1868 Cheque drawn on Messrs Coutts & Company for £350, payable to Alderman Sir Sidney Waterlow, signed by Charles Dickens, completed in his characteristic blue ink. Waterlow (1822-1906) was a prominent philanthropist and Mayor of London in 1873. Endorsed by him and another party on the reverse (19x9.5cm)
