1854 Autograph letter in the third person, written by Queen Victoria on silver embossed notepaper of Windsor Castle, with a note explaining that it was written "to General Grey 3rd Nov 54 in allusion to Gl. Codrington's last letter". Grey was private secretary to both the Queen and Prince Albert.
