1629 (September) entire letter from the Privy Council with address panel reading "To yee right honourable and our very loveing friend, the Major of the Cittie of Norwich and to the Justices of Peace of the said Cittie", contents make complaint "whereby hys Maties service hath suffered in this cittie in the number of the trained soldiers which his honour saith is much decreased of late both in number and quality of their armes by the frequent borrowing from another ... horses wholy omitted ...". Signed by Thomas Woodehouse, Thomas Hyrne and Harry Cornwalys. Fine and scarce.
