Tannu Tuva
Russia Used in Tannu Tuva
1928 (9 Jan.) envelope registered from Kyzyl to Moscow bearing Russia 8k. (upper right corner missing since origin) and 20k. workers type stamps cancelled by despatch c.d.s. (Tchilinghirian Type 3), with alongside Kizil registration cachet in violet. The reverse with arrival (22.1) c.d.s. Envelope roughly opened at top right not effecting the adhesives, overall light ageing not detracting from the importance of this registered cover, a very rare usage of the Russian stamps in Tuva after independence.
