1900 (10 Sept.) stampless "On Active Service" envelope from Lt. Irving to India bearing a very fine strike of Field Post Office/34 c.d.s. (Kroonstad) with Durban "T/10" in oval and Indian Postage Due handstamp for 1a.; the reverse bearing Durban transit (24.9), Sallebile arrival (30.10) and a fine strike of the diminutive Chikmagapul Unpaid dated oval in green; some edge faults. Very rare mail to India from this campaign. Photo
