1913 (Nov.) G. W. Ewe's initial pen and ink sketches for the 1914-22 Postage Due issue, executed on small noted card (114x88mm.) headed "116, adelaide road, n.w.", the face showing two 2d. designs, the uppermost design being very close to that of the issued design, the reverse with further pencil sketches and manuscript annotations, both sides with enlarged explorations of particular ornaments in the design. Most unusual and an important piece for the Postage Due collector. Photo.
