Plate 38: OC in a brighter shade, close to very large margins tied on 1844 (14 Feb.) entire to Huntley by a neat black Maltese Cross, there is a manuscript paid "1" in red ink, probably applied in error and cancelled by a very faint strike of the black Maltese Cross, with boxed Huntly arrival datestamp alongside, the reverse bearing an indistinct strike of boxed Old Rain despatch datestamp
