1815 (20 May) entire letter from London to Montreal, Canada, forwarded (with manuscript endorsement) from Glasgow. Endorsed 'Earl of Buckinghamshire' and with very fine strike of small diameter Crowned 'withdrawn shipletter/ greenock/ post paid', a superb and hugely rare example of this circular handstamp with just a couple of strikes known. On the face a fine oval 'ship letter/ quebec' handstamp and 'P10' and '11½' in red manuscript; superb and incredibly rare. B.P.A. Certificate (1998). Photo.
