1877 (6 July) cover to Como (Italy), franked at left with 1873 2r. yellow, a marginal example from the left of the sheet with two touched or cut slightly into margins, tied by undated double circle on dispatch and paying postage for carriage between the Venezuelan P.O. at La Guaira and the French Consular agency in the same city, with France “Sage” 1fr. Green-olive at right for the single rate up to 15 grams for onward transmission, tied by “La Guayra” octagonal d.s. (Salles fig. 1374) in blue, repeated adjacent, showing on reverse “Ligne A” (Colon-St. Nazaire), Milan-Chiasso and Como c.d.s.’s. One of fewer than five covers recorded bearing this Venezuelan stamp.
