1890 (22 Aug.) envelope to Chester bearing pair of Protectorate 4d. on ½d. vermilion cancelled by a single strike of "shoshong/bechuanaland" c.d.s. (day inverted) with Mafeking transit (27.8) alongside, the reverse bearing Cape Town (2.9) and Chester arrival (22.9) c.d.s., some staining on the reverse. A good cover from the Parker correspondence. Also 1888 ½d. vermilion cancelled "676" barred oval (Shoshong and later Palachwe). Photo
