1894 (10 Nov.) envelope to Port Elizabeth bearing 1891-1904 2d. grey-green and carmine tied by a neat and light strike of "dry hartz/bechuanaland" c.d.s. (day inverted) with a second strike alongside, the reverse bearing Vryburg (10.11), Midland Down (12.11) and Port Elizabeth (12.11) c.d.s.; a rare postmark on cover. Also single stamps bearing Dry Harts, c.d.s., Hartebeestepan c.d.s. and Dry Hartz c.d.s. (2) one on 1891 2d. C.G.H. showing variety inverted "u" for "n" (S.G. 32b). Photo

Dry Harts was opened in 1888 but was closed after about a year. The office was reopened in 1891 with the new spelling
