Volunteer Force Long Service (India & the Colonies), G.V.R. (Pte. S. Trivett, 1st Madras Guards I.D.F.), engraved naming, minor edge bruise, nearly extremely fine
Ex-Tamplin Collection.
Samuel Trivett was born in 1882, served with the 1st Madras Guards, I.D.F. during the Great War (single BWM only). Awarded the Long Service Medal as per I.A.O. 693 of September 1919, he was a fitter by trade and died of paralysis on 13 June 1925 at Madras. He is buried in the Sacred Heart Jesus Church Egmore.
