(x) A collection of three interesting Naval pamphlets, including ‘The Brave British Tar’ and a poem against mutineering
‘The Brave British Tar, or, the History of James Covey, Who had both his legs shot off in the Battle of Camperdown; -with an account of his extraordinary dream, and how remarkably it was fulfilled.’, printed in London, circa 1800, pages also include ‘A remarkable Account of some Seamen in the Battle of the Nile’; ‘The Loyal Sailor: or, No Mutineering’ poem, printed in London, 1797; the pamphlet ‘A Letter from A Naval Officer To A Friend, on the late Alarming Mutiny Aboard the Fleet.’, printed in London 1797, the first and second in delicate condition with edge wear and ageing but the text overall clear and legible, the third bound and with some stains but otherwise very good condition for its age (3)
