(x) A collection of materials relating to Nelson’s death, including an original copy of the London Gazette dated 27 November 1805 which featured Collingwood’s dispatches detailing the aftermath of the Battle of Trafalgar

London Gazette, Numb. 15866 [1481], Wednesday, November 27, 1805, 4 pages with red revenue stamp to reverse, in delicate condition with tape repairs and a number of tears, pinholes, lightly faded in sections but overall legible

The Gentleman’s Magazine, August 1807, by Sylvanus Urban, featuring the article “Mr Browne’s Proposed Pillar for Lord Nelson”, accompanied by a diagram of the pillar which was proposed to be located in Norwich and surrounded by three triumphal arches, damage to spine, light ageing, in good clean condition with clear and legible text throughout

A print depicting the Death of Nelson, published 8 November 1806, minor foxing and stains

Together with a later copy of The Times edition issued on 7 November 1805, a reproduction but still antique, some wear and tear along creases, minor stains (4)
