(x) A Central European Naval Officer's Sword, of 19th Century manufacture, gently curved steel blade with traces of decoration and marked J R Solingen, highly decorative and elaborate brass guard featuring a lion's head pommel, lion rampant upon a sea monster and cannon barrel, bone or ivorine grip, overall length 970mm; A 'Hanger'-style sword, of 18th Century manufacture, gently curved steel blade with evidence at tip of being shortened or ground down, brass guard and lion's head pommel, with traces of gilding, finely-polished wooden grip, overall length 710mm, grip on first slightly loose and chipped, generally about very fine (2)
