(x) A Royal Navy Midshipman's Dirk, of late 18th or early 19th Century manufacture, featuring a sharply-curved blade in the oriental style, this with traces of the original foliate decoration, gilded brass scabbard with foliate decoration to the outer side and single ring for wear, grip of bone or ivorine, by E. Richards & Co., London, traces of gilt remaining to guard and scabbard, total length 450mm, a most attractive example and generally good very fine
