(x) Earl St. Vincent's Testimony of Approbation 1800, 48mm, silver-gilt, struck on a thick flan, a few tiny edge knocks, otherwise about extremely fine

This medal was awarded by Admiral Sir John Jervis, upon relinquishing his command of the Channel Fleet, to the crew of his flagship (the 110-gun H.M.S. Ville de Paris) who remained loyal to him during the infamous mutiny at the Nore. The medal is not recorded as having been produced and distributed in silver-gilt, though numerous examples have since appeared.
