Roman Empire, Commodus, as Caesar (AD 177-180), AR Denarii (3): i) Rome, IMP CAES L AVREL COMMODVS GERM SARM, laureate and draped bust right, rev. TR POT II COS, Victory advancing left, holding wreath and palm, 2.85g (RIC 628; BMC 750), lustrous, deposits to reverse, but otherwise good fine to very fine; ii) another, as before, 3.22g, near very fine, lustrous; iii) another, as before, L AVREL COMMODVS AVG, laureate head right, rev. TR P IIII IMP II COS II P P, Salus seated left, feeding a snake around altar with patera, 2.67g (RIC 657; BMC 794), very fine to good very fine; (3).
