Noah James Woolacott was born at Cadeleigh, Devon on 15 August 1891, the son of Noah and Mary Woolacott of Christow, Devon. He entered the war in France on 6 November 1914 with the 2nd Battalion, Devonshire Regiment.
Woolacott was to serve with them until 28 August 1916 when he transferred to the Military Foot Police with the number P/8433. Returning to Devon he settled at Newton Abbot where he died in October 1947; sold together with copied research.
