Frank Edward Clayton Newington was born in Lahore, India on 7 December 1895 and served in the South Lancashire Regiment during the Great War. He was commissioned in the Indian Army Ordnance Corps on 29 July 1940 and was elevated to Captain on 30 November 1946; sold together with copied London Gazette entries.
