Arthur Skelton was born at St. James, Liverpool on 1 January 1882. He entered the war in France from 12 August 1914 and is entitled to a 1914 Star Trio. Skelton was taken Prisoner of War on the 9 August 1916 at Guillemont, France, whilst serving with the 8th Battalion and was sent to Soltau Camp.
