Alexander P. Fraser was born in London on 12 February 1891 and was a farmer by trade prior to attesting with the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force in Calgary, Alberta on 17 November 1914. He joined the 31st Battalion and embarked for England on 29 May 1915. He embarked for Boulogne on 15 August and was promoted Acting Corporal on 1 September. Fraser was killed in action in France on 15 October 1915 and was interred at the Kemmel Cemeteries in Belgium. His medals were sent to his brother at 33 Netherall Gardens, Hampstead in London. Fraser was further entitled to a British War and Victory Medal pair; sold together with copied research.
Frank Eustace Root was born on Euston Road in London on 18 July 1880 and was working as a blacksmith when he attested with the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force on 22 October 1915 at Brantford, Ontario. He disembarked at Halifax and arrived in Liverpool on 18 August 1916, whereupon he transferred to the 8th Reserve Battalion at Witley. He proceeded overseas for service with the 54th Battalion on 10 May 1918, Root was serving with them when on 2 September 1918 he was killed in action in the field. His medals were sent to his widow Edith, who was living at 126 Effingham Road, Haringey in London; sold together with copied research.
Rob Roy McGregor was born in July 1893 in Moorefield, Ontario in Canada. He served in the Western Theatre during World War I with the 19th Central Ontario Battalion of the Canadian Infantry.
