Frank Long was born at New Whitting and enlisted at Chesterfield. He entered the war in France on 4 November 1914 and was killed in action on 11 March 1915 whilst serving with the 1st Battalion and is commemorated on the Le Touret Memorial, Pas de Calais, France.

Sold together with photographs of his entry on the Memorial.
