Army L.S. & G.C., V.R., 2nd issue (1775. L' Sgt: J.Lucas. 11 Huss:), very fine

John Lucas a native of Wicklow enlisted in the 11th Hussars on 11 September 1879. He saw service abroad in South Africa and India although this remains his full entitlement. Lucas was awarded his Long Service & Good Conduct Medal in January 1898, and he was discharged 12 October 1901; sold together with copied service papers.
