Arthur Dennis Battrick was born on 30 July 1898 at Southampton, the son of Beatrice of 93 Raphael Road, Gravesend. He was killed in action on 9 August 1915 when the Lynx struck a mine laid by the German Raider Meteor at 0610hrs.
