Queen's South Africa 1899-1902, 1 clasp, South Africa 1901 (6813 Pte W.H. Simms, 2: RL: Berks: Regt), very fine

William Henry Simms was born in 1879 in Windsor and attested with the Royal Berkshire Volunteer Company from the 1st Volunteer Battalion at Reading in 1900. Posted to the 2nd Royal Berkshire Regiment that March, Simms left for South Africa the same month and was stationed there until June 1901. He was posted to the Depot in May 1901 and was discharged that following June upon the termination of his engagement; sold together with copied research.

Simms is additionally entitled to the clasps Cape Colony, Orange Free State, and Transvaal.
