Gordon Keith De Gare Hussey was born on 9 June 1937 at Caerleon, Monmouthshire. Having joined the Royal Marines, he served afloat during the Near East, thence with 40 Commando in Brunei & Borneo. Having been married in July 1961, he was seriously injured on 1 October 1965 whilst riding his moped along Bickleigh Down Road, Devon. Serving with 41 Commando at the time, he was taken to hospital but died on 8 November 1965. An inquest suggested he might have been hit by a speeding car but a colleague also confirmed he had been drinking that night with him; sold together with copied research.
