Reginald Vernon Ronald Jeboult-Jones was born on 5 March 1894 at Willesden, Middlesex, he was a Compositor's Assistant prior to joining the Royal Navy. He joined as a Boy 2nd Class on 14 June 1910 serving on Impregnable. At the outbreak of the Great War he was a Signaller on Colossus and transferred to Comus from 13 October 1915 - 15 December 1916. From there he joined Greenwich where he served 16 December 1916 - 30 June 1918. From there he went to Blake for the remainder of the Great War and was now a Leading Signaller. He reached the rank of Yeoman of Signals and completed his time on 5 October 1928.

His second set of service papers note that he re-entered the Royal Navy on 12 January 1935 as a Signalman and further notes Tr Reassessments 16 October 1946.

The Second World War Medals are contained in postage box, with Admiralty slip addressed to him at Old Farm Cottage, Ashton, Chester. Together with a letter from the Admiralty dated 13 November 1954, confirming just the two medals for service.
