RHOS 'AUSTRALIAN' KILLED
Many friends and acquaintances in Rhos will regret to hear that news arrived this week of the death of Pte. Robert W. Davies, who formerly resided with his relatives, Mr and Mrs Price Davies, near the Hafod Colliery Pit Bank. For many years, Pte. Davies, who was about 30 years of age, worked at the Hafod Colliery, and about 7 years ago left this country for Australia. Shortly after the outbreak of war he answered the call of his Motherland, returned to England a soldier in one of the Australian contingents, and eventually proceeded to France. He was of a quiet, genial disposition, well liked by his numerous friends at home, and was a member of the Mount Pleasant Sunday school.
