King's South Africa 1901-02, 2 clasps, South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902 (3695 Pte G. Meldrum. 2nd Drgns:), heavy contact wear and some edge bruising overall nearly very fine
George Meldrum was born at St. Pauls, Perth and enlisted on 19 April 1892. Posted to South Africa on 6 November 1899, he was to see heavy action there, taking part in the actions at Paardeburg, Diamond Hill and Belfast. Meldrum remain in the theatre until 19 August 1902.
Further entitled to a Queen's South Africa Medal with clasps for Belfast, Diamond Hill, Johannesburg, Transvaal, Driefontein, Orange Free State, Paardeburg and Relief of Kimberley.
