1914-15 Star (2055 Pte. W. Hunt. Midd'x R.), very fine

William Hunt served overseas from 9 March 1915 and is entitled to a 1914-15 Trio and a Silver War Badge. He was wounded by a bullet to the left shoulder whilst exiting a trench at Zonnebeke on 25 April 1915. Hunt had to endure two operations to remove pieces of the bullet that left him with a scar 4 inches long and 2 inches wide on his scapula and his arm was '...of little use since.'
