1914-15 Star (17369 Pte. S. Telford. Border: R.), good very fine

Simon Telford was born at Nichol Forest, Cumberland and attested at Carlisle. Entering the war in France on 23 November 1915 with the 11th (Lonsdale) Battalion, Border Regiment, Telford was admitted to 90th Field Ambulance on 13 January 1916 with multiple gunshot wounds. Surviving almost a week he died on 17 January 1916; sold together with a copied M.I.C., Commonwealth War Graves Certificate and Casualty Form.
