Horace Gregory was born at Lewisham, Keny on 23 June 1879 and was a labourer upon his joining the Royal Navy on 12 September 1894. Having served off the coast of China in 1900, he served in Blenheim from 23 April 1914-24 August 1918 and was discharged on 4 March 1920.
