Sikh Empire, Ranjit Singh (VS 1856-96; 1799-1839), silver plated Nanakshahi Rupee struck on a copper base, 9.81g, Amritsar, fixed year VS 1885 / 85?, unclear digits (Herrli 01.11.04; KM 22.1), has seen some wear, as copper base clearly visible, very fine and interesting

Since the frozen year VS1885 series started in VS1893 there is no possibility of a coin of frozen year VS1885 having date '85'. This could be a mule, or have been struck by a copyist, possibly using old dies.
