Royal Navy L.S. & G.C., G.VI.R., fixed suspension (J. 104693 S. Kirton. P.O. H.M.S. Osprey.), mounted as worn, very fine

Samuel Kirton was born on 7 April 1905 at Leicester and joined the Royal Navy on 7 April 1923. Having been awarded his L.S. & G.C. Medal on 20 April 1938, he served at St Angelo from 20 November 1939 and then aboard Woolwich from 3 February 1941. He was made a Temporary Acting Boatswain in November 1942.
