1631 (18th Jan.) ALS with address panel to "The Right Honorable Thomas Lord Fairfax", reading "... I stand allegiate unto yor lordship in, fo your noble entertaynemt when I was with you, and the token you sent me. I am promised a fartingale cover, wich soe soone as I am possessed of, I will send to you". Signed "G. Booth". Fine and rare

Notes: George Booth, 1st Baron Delamer (1622-1684) an important figure in Civil War history, having received a commission from Charles II to assume command of the revolutionary forces in Lancashire, Cheshire, and North Wales.
Thomas Fairfax, 3rd Lord Fairfax of Cameron ( 1612-1671) a key figure in Civil War history.
