The Complete Series of Three Hundred and Twenty-Four Colour Trials Prepared by De La Rue
A remarkable collection expertly written up on pages and offered in a Frank Godden FG Deluxe album comprising three hundred and twenty four colour trails in eighteen different frame colours for the 2r., 3r. and 5r. values. Each perf. 14 on unwatermarked wove paper with one monocolour and at least twelve to as many as seventeen different bicolour trials per frame. A break down of trials is listed below by frame, as ordered in its current form:
Appendix A:
30 different bicolour trials, those numbered 7, 8 and 29 were selected for use in 1895, and later, numbers 12, 15 and 9 for the KEVII 10r., 15r. and 25r. respectively.

Offered with the original De La Rue Appendix sheets (15) from which the trials have been lifted, each dated 'Oct. 23rd 1894' and numbered 0001419 to 0001431.
All without gum having been removed from the appendix sheets, the inevitable minor fault here or there though a delightful group of great significance. One of only two such groups known, one being Spence's sold by Robson Lowe (1977) where they illustrate his original colour chart, the present group being from the De La Rue archives.
