Great Britain: Submarine Railway Limited, £1 shares, 190[10], #60, signed by Thomas Pocklington as director, ornate border, green. Built an attraction for the Imperial International Exhibition at White City in 1909. The attraction consists of 4 metal boats attached to each other with glass portals to view the caverns, plants, fish and 'other wonders of the deep'. Thomas Pocklington was a London watchmaker and jeweller who turned to property and company promoting. His estate was left to establish the Thomas Pocklington Trust for blind and partially sigted people. GVF and first time offered by us.
